Mission & Purpose
To improve the lives of those affected by peripheral neuropathy through awareness, education, advocacy, and research to advance the discovery of new therapies and cures.
For Patients & Caregivers
What is PN?
Peripheral neuropathy is not a single disease. It is a general term for a series of disorders that result from damage to the body's peripheral nervous system.

Peripheral Neuropathy
Research Registry
Founded in 2008 by the Foundation, this unique biobank of biological samples from PN patients will facilitate both basic and clinical research studies that are expected to improve scientists' understandings of PN. The goal of the Registry is to improve the ability to diagnose, treat and prevent peripheral neuropathies.
Clinical Trials
Clinical trials are research studies that use human volunteers. Trials are conducted to collect data regarding the safety and efficacy of new drug and device developments. Participating in a clinical trial is an invaluable way to get involved in the pursuit of cures for peripheral neuropathy.
Apply for a Grant
The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy is committed to the goal of developing treatments and cures for PN. The Foundation is committed to funding activities that hold promise of identifying therapies for neuropathy.
Our Impact
The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy's mission is to dramatically improve the lives of people living with peripheral neuropathy.
We do so by serving as the premier resource of information for patients, accelerating cures for peripheral neuropathy, funding collaborative efforts of leading scientists, and raising awareness for peripheral neuropathy.
Research
To achieve our Mission, the Foundation funds some of the most brilliant minds in neuroscience. Since 2010, we have organized a collaborative approach that will allow researchers to achieve a high level of trust, openness and interaction marked by dynamic, intellectual and scientific relationships between them.
Awareness
With an estimated 30 million people in the U.S.A. alone with peripheral neuropathy, and countless more worldwide, it is a wonder that more people are not aware of the condition. The Foundation continues to raise awareness for PN, and the need for more research and treatment options that work.
Patient Resources
The Foundation offers a collection of free, peripheral neuropathy educational resources, videos, brochures, and transcripts for patients, caregivers, physicians, and more. These resources greatly benefit our community and we thank our scientific experts for their continued assistance in keeping us up-to-date.
Name It, Learn It, Cure It!
Peripheral Neuropathy affects more than 30 million people in the US alone. Why haven’t more people even heard of it?

We Thank Our Corporate Sponsors
The Foundation sincerely thanks our corporate sponsors who are committed to take the “extra step” in helping us discover effective treatment options and cures for peripheral neuropathy. Sponsors support the Foundation in many different ways, including our Peripheral Neuropathy Research Registry, Young Investigator Awards, Educational Programs, Advocacy, and other Research Initiatives.
