The U.S. Department of Defense’s Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP) included peripheral neuropathy as a condition eligible for research funding for the first time in 2021. The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy is proud to have been instrumental in making more funding available for PN research and researchers.
What is the PRMRP?
The PRMRP is a $370 million grant program, open to researchers both in the U.S. and outside the U.S. to fund studies focusing on 42 diseases and conditions, including peripheral neuropathy. Criteria for funding includes the scientific merit of the research as well as its impact on veterans and their families. For more information about the PRMRP click here.
