The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy congratulates the 13 athletes, including our own Lindsay Colbert, who participated in the Hoka One One Run the L Challenge. The participants completed the challenge by walking, running, biking or wheeling 131 miles in their own towns in this virtual race. The 131 miles of the Run the L Challenge represent the 131 miles of Chicago’s elevated public transit system. The FPN virtual team raised several thousand dollars, and awareness for FPN and peripheral neuropathy.
We offer special commendations to Michael Wright for clocking in at number 86 out of over 1000 participants! Michael completed over 200 miles during the course of the eight-week challenge. Michael will be highlighted by the sponsor of the Hoka One One Run the L Challenge, Lifetime Fitness. Michael is a strong supporter of FPN, as well as the founder of the Facebook group, Peripheral Neuropathy Success Stories!.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Run the L Challenge. Your medals and race rewards are on their way!
Thank you as well to all who supported the FPN team. Your donations gave extra meaning to the participating athletes and will be used to support our FPN programs.
For anyone who wants another chance to Run the L and missed this challenge, you will have another chance. There will be a second Hoka One One Run the L Virtual Challenge in Spring 2021!
