FPN welcomes new Board President!
We are proud to announce Ronald Lissak as our new President of the Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2025. With a distinguished career in the medical device industry and a personal connection to neuropathy, Ron brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a clear vision to his new role.
Ron steps into the role at a pivotal time for the Foundation. He expressed gratitude to his predecessor, Lou Mazawey, saying, “Lou, thank you. Your dedication to the Foundation will be hard to duplicate. You are an excellent role model for me to follow.”

PN patient makes a lasting impact
We are honored to announce that last month, we received an extraordinary and transformational donation of $255,000 from the estate of Elizabeth Smallfelt. Elizabeth was a PN patient and friend of FPN’s, and we’re pleased to share her story and the lasting impact of her gift in the neuropathy community.

FPN Advocacy Webinar: Updates from the Hill
Join the FPN advocacy team for a webinar on February 4, discussing the latest news from Capitol Hill. This program will provide a legislative update from Washington, DC, speak about recent FY2025 appropriation updates, post General Election updates, our current efforts, and our grassroots advocacy initiatives. A Q&A will conclude the program for those who are able to attend live.

Spinal Cord Stimulation in patients with painful diabetic neuropathy
Researchers are seeking adult participants older than 18 years old who have painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy. The aim of the study is to assess a diagnostic tool and to determine if Spinal Cord Stimulation will reduce pain in these patients. The study will last 18 months and there will be a total of 8 visits. Study participants will complete some tests, skin punch biopsies, blood draws and questionnaires.
